Never miss a Sunday booking again

SavorQ Voice is the AI phone agent built for the Friday-night reservation rush, the Sunday-roast flood of bookings, and the mid-week allergen Q&A — every call captured, every booking confirmed, every allergen logged.

The gastropub phone-call pattern

Every UK gastropub operator we've interviewed describes the same problem: the phone rings throughout service, the team can't pick up because they're running food, and a third of the calls go to voicemail or unanswered ring. The economics are awful — a single missed eight-cover Sunday booking is worth more than the entire monthly subscription. The category needs to be solved at the systems level, not by hiring a host who can't scale to peak.

What SavorQ Voice does for your pub

  • Takes the booking. Date, time, party size, name, phone, dog-friendly request — captured, confirmed, SMS sent. The booking lives in your dashboard and your reservation book stays clean.
  • Joins the waitlist when you're full.No more “ring back at 6” voicemail. The agent puts the caller on the list, tells them an honest wait time, and SMS-promotes them when a table opens up.
  • Answers the allergen question.“Does the steak pie contain dairy?” gets a definitive answer from your menu schema, or a clean “let me check with the kitchen” fall-back that's logged for your Natasha's Law audit trail.
  • Takes the takeaway order too. Many pubs run a takeaway line on the side. SavorQ Voice captures both flow types cleanly.
  • Handles UK accents.Geordie, Glaswegian, Scouse, Cockney — your regulars don't need to slow down for the AI.

Pilot setup

FAQ

When does the AI pick up — every call, or only when we miss?

Your choice. Most pubs run the 'human-first' setup: incoming calls ring your bar phone for 20 seconds (configurable), and if the team's mid-service and can't pick up, SavorQ Voice takes the call. The caller hears continuous ringing then a smooth pickup — no menu, no 'press 1 for AI'. You can also run AI-first (every call goes to SavorQ Voice) or business-hours-aware (human-first during opening, AI-first outside) — switch any time.

Can SavorQ Voice handle Sunday roast bookings?

Yes. Reservations are first-class: it captures date, time, party size, name, phone, and any notes ('high chair please', 'dog with us', 'window table if possible'). Confirmation goes by SMS automatically. Sunday is when most pubs lose bookings to voicemail, and Sunday is exactly what SavorQ Voice is built for.

What about callers who want to ask about the menu before booking?

Common scenario — the answer is the same as in person. The AI agent reads from your menu schema and answers what's on, what's seasonal, and what about allergens. If it doesn't know, it falls back to 'let me check with the kitchen and call you straight back' — never a guess.

Does it work with our existing landline?

We provision a new Twilio number and route calls in. You can either forward your landline to that number (callers don't notice the difference) or use SavorQ Voice as a secondary line for overflow / after-hours. Most pilots start with forwarding so they keep one published number.
